Prosthetic dentistry

1. Structure and organization:

The Department of Prosthetic dentistry currently employs 18 people, including:

* 08 staff members:

- Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of Department

- Masters: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Nguyen Thu Hang, Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang, Nguyen Thu Tra (studying abroad for PhD students), Khieu Thanh Tung and Le Thi Huong (currently studying PhD students in the country).

- Doctor: Mai Hai Yen (master's studies abroad).

- Technicians: Vu Anh, Nguyen Quoc Anh, Le Thi Chinh, Tran Anh Tuyet, Nguyen Thi Cam Linh.

* part-time officers:

2. Main Mission

2.1. About the training

2.1.1. Formal training

- In terms of professional expertise:

+ Undergraduate: Y5 general, Bachelor of Nursing, Y2, Y4, Y5, Y6 Odonto-Stomatology specialized.

+Postgraduate: Specialization I, Specialization II, Residency, Master's degree, Ph.D. in Odonto-Stomatology.

2.1.2. Continuous training (according to social needs)

- Nursing, dental assisting, and prosthetic dentistry technician

- A continuing education course for maxillofacial surgeons in the field of prosthetic dentistry: Fixed prosthesis, whole jaw, frame jaw

2.2. Unit development activities

Undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuous training sessions from easy to sophisticated to fix faults or replace missing teeth and lacking or injured soft tissues to regenerate and produce beauty, function, and general health for the patient.

2.3. Medical consultation and treatment in dental clinics

The department treats patients in the following areas: restoration, occlusion, temporomandibular disorders, and facial pain, in collaboration with the Departments of Orthodontics and Psychiatry at Hanoi Medical University Hospital.

2.4. Union work

- The Department always fully complies with the Party's guidelines and policies, legislative action, and Institute and University rules and regulations.

- Participating in political and professional events, conferences, seminars, and humanitarian visits in the community...

- Fully implementing the regimes and policies for all department personnel.

- Internal unity is well maintained, as is thrifty behavior, anti-waste, anti-corruption, and other social ills.

2.5 Additional missions

+ Advising Ph.D. students, graduate students, residents, and Specialist Doctors II on thesis and graduation theses;

+ Participating in committees for grading Ph.D. students, graduate students, residents, majors II, and defending graduation theses;

+ Attend medical examinations and treatments at medical examination and treatment facilities (Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Center for High-Tech Dental Examination and Treatment, Building A7, Hanoi Medical University) 

+ Other tasks as delegated by the Training Institute

+ Scientific research activities: 5 Ph.D. students, 1 resident doctor, and 2 graduate students will be guided via graduate research projects. Publish research papers by topic faculty members in national and international publications.
